Hi, I'm Helen!
Short Version:
I am passionate about providing inspired service and technology solutions across the travel industry landscape. My commitment to leadership, growth, and imagination allows me to discover new layers of potential in myself and those that I work with, which brings me true delight. After being a city girl all my life, I find peace in watching the world around me bustle in new ways; I now live on a mountain next to a wooded lake with my four-legged assistant. He reminds me every day to shut down my computer and look beyond the screen.
Long Version:
Growing up when technology was coming of age, I found my desire ignited to build and communicate in new ways. I love to write poetry, solve puzzles, create order from chaos, and make life more interesting. Over time, I have learned that technology is only one facet to innovation and I now employ it to help build strong organizations and even stronger relationships.
I have had the great fortune of working in a number of industries, but there is nothing more challenging and rewarding than moving technology, products, and services forward in the travel industry. After working in the travel technology space between corporate and leisure, small agencies to host agencies, and even large networks, there is one common thread among them all: we live to serve. In my 25 years of travel, I have made friends who are now family, fought for change in our industry alongside ASTA, and I now work to strengthen travel advisors so they can make dreams come true for so many, including myself.
